Locked Up and Won’t Let Me Out

Checkout the former director of the Racial Justice Project at the ACLU of Northern California, and holder of a joint appointment at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity and the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University, Michelle Alexander, speak to a crowd in New York about her new best-selling book, The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in The Age Of Colorblindness.

In her book she puts forth, and proves, the argument that although we do have individual “African-American” success (in capitalism “success” can only be measured by accumulation.  That’s why almost every sister I know loves Opharh, but doesn’t even watch her show, they just have some sort of blind obedience towards her, or is it her billions?), we have not eradicated the racial cast system America was founded on; it has just been redefined.  How so?  By substituting the N-word, with the C-word, Criminal!  What The Imperialist gives in the form of petty bourgeois reform (such as affirmative action) with one hand, they are already planning to take it away with the other, and lock you up as well.
