This is extremely important to watch. While we have sell outs like Henry Louis “Tom” Gates who is trying to share the blame between black and whites for the slave trade, we need real information so people can make a clear analysis. His analysis was written SOLELY for the purpose of pleasing his white masters, and to give the general white population a way to clear their conscience with unfounded claims. Henry Louis Gates is a lick spittle, Uncle Tom, troll, and proves to be one of the most dangerous hindrances toward real progress. See his horrible op-ed here:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/23/opinion/23gates.html?pagewanted=print

White people were the buyers and sellers in the slave trade, they were the rulers of the colonies in Africa and they are the benefactors to this day from both processes. It doesn’t matter a few elite, petty bourgeois Africans participated, hell, they needed those elite and were complicit in finding those elite in order to facilitate the market that THEY created. Gates’s thesis is that reparations are due, but if they were ratified who would pay them? White or black people? What a crock!!

The African petty bourgeois sell-out for a Beamer and a one-story house. THEY don’t even have anything, what on earth do you think the people have. Gate’s is not an economist and needs to stick to his liberal arts profession because he definitely doesn’t understand the economy, and is being paid very well to put misinformation out there so that white people can rest easy! Hell the Catholic church has the most wealth in the world, and they were used to more easily facilitate the trade. If anything they should be the ones solely responsible for reparations.

Hey Henry Louis, go and learn a thing or to about the economics of slavery before you start writing pieces. Your op-ed was completely subjective and coming from the position of who was more “evil”. Slavery wasn’t about good/evil, it was about power/money, and you must be delusional if you believe that Africans have received either power or money. Maybe he should look at the documentary posted above, he apparently needs to refresh his damn memory! It’s no way this dude has a real PhD, he must have gotten his title bestowed upon him after kissing elite ass, or he went to University of Phoenix online because he has no credibility, especially when he commences to bash African leaders such as Queen Nzinga. He is a horrible little man, and his time is up!
