On this edition of IKONOKLAST SPEAKS!, we are joined with Dr. Jared A. Ball to discuss his new book, I MIX WHAT I LIKE!: A MIXTAPE MANIFESTO.  We discuss the major themes of this important work such as; emancipatory journalism, Internal Colonialism Theory, the role of propaganda on a colonized population, neocolonial representation as progress, from Tyler Perry to K’ Naan, why as people of color (colonized) we should always consume all forms of popular media (even media deemed as “Progressive”…i.e. Democracy Now!) with a critical eye, and much more.  This is part two of a two part interview.
