Support the We Can End AIDS Mobilization July 24
On July 24th, 2012, The We Can End AIDS Mobilization for Economic Justice and Human Rights will happen in Washington, DC during the International AIDS Conference. Over 30,000 people from across the USA and the world will march together to illuminate the social and economic costs of putting profit in front of the resources, rights, and policies that can end AIDS. Have you signed up to march with us yet? This is a march you don’t want to miss!
But we need your help. Buses filled with marchers will be driving to DC from Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Providence, and New York, while supporters from other parts of the nation are driving to DC in vans. Will you help us ensure that every supporter who wants to attend the march can take a bus for free?
Sign up to join us at 12 noon on July 24th. We will fan out in 5 distinct branches for a non-violent collective action, highlighting the things we need to end AIDS:
1) End Pharma’s Corporate Greed
2) Start a Robin Hood Tax on Wall Street
3) Stop the War on Women
4) Promote Sound Public Policies with Full Funding
5) Protect Human Rights, End Mass Imprisonment and Criminzalization, and Support Harm Reduction
The five branches will converge at 1 PM at the White House. Transportation is available from Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City, and across DC. But we need your help to ensure that all of our supports can get to DC.
We’re calling for the economic and social justice policies that would allow us to end AIDS. The world has the money and the know how to end the AIDS pandemic now – we’re just missing the political will. Thats where you come in. Bring your friends and neighbours, bring your families and co-workers, but most of all bring your passion to AIDS. Join Us!
