Tonight: Vigil for Shantel Davis [#Feminist Friday]

Please join Shantel Davis’ family, friends, and their supporters on the six month anniversary of her passing.

CANDLELIGHT VIGIL in honor of Shantel Davis
Friday, December 14th at 6:30 pm at the corner of Church Ave and East 38th Street, Brooklyn

On June 14th, 2012, Shantel Davis was murdered by NYPD Detective Phillip Atkins on the corner of Church Ave and East 38th Street in Brooklyn while sitting in her car. To date, no one has been held accountable for Shantel’s murder. While Shantel’s family continues to fight tireless, every day, for justice for Shantel, the NYPD spreads false stories about Shantel with no accountability for their violence. On the night of December 14th, exactly six months since her murder, Shantel’s family will hold a candlelight vigil to honor her passing, to remember her life, and to demonstrate to folks in East Flatbush and to the NYPD that we will not stand for racist NYPD murder. Please join us, bring your loved ones, and spread the word!
