New Study Guides: Anti-Colonial Classics, Lorenzo Kom’boa Ervin
New study guides, bringing together several notable writings by Lorenzo Kom’boa Ervin as well as classics in the anti-colonial/national liberation current of struggle, are available now under the Study Guides tab.
Kom’boa is an enduring figure in radical community organizing. The former Black Panther Party activist and author of Anarchism and the Black Revolution gained prominence through writings that advocated Black self-determination and control of communities.
The new anti-colonial classics study guide features polemics by a variety of Third World organizers, theorists and fighters for liberation and against imperialism. The movements from which many of the writers hail have served as important inspirations for contemporary movements, for which a second anti-colonial study guide will emerge.
Over the coming weeks, new study guides on Race and Gender will be posted. Suggestions and/or submissions for writings to include are welcomed.
