Left Behind: A Critique of The White Left

black man taxicab Left Behind: A Critique of The White Left

Ahhh, The White Left……. today I feel like discussing threats to People of Color that aren’t Right (pun intended).  I couldn’t get Ernesto’s article, Overtures to Tea Party: Smart Politics or Hitler-Stalin Pact?, out of my head; so I decided to do more research into what has been characterized as “The Left”, and what it has meant for people of color (besides convincing oppressed people to rally around Obama only to feign disbelief when he explicitly displays that he is neo-colonial puppet hell-bent on fortifying The Empire by traditional imperialist means).  My research led me to an old audio broadcast of the Uhuru Movement’s show Africa Live.  This particular broadcast, dated 11-22-09, had been merged with an episode of Omali Yeshitela Speaks.  The analysis given for this particular episode of Omali Yeshitela Speaks, was an objective critique of The White Internationalist Left (Wow!  I think I was speaking truth to power when I found this hidden broadcast, it was like fate…Ummm not really…LOL ).

Leader of the Uhuru Movement, and Chairman and founder of the African People’s Socialist Party

Chairman Omali Yeshitela made this presentation at The Conference Against Genocide, October 25, 1992, in Oakland California.  The Soviet Union had just collapsed, and the Chairman points out that The White Internationalist Left is in crisis.  As Chairman Omali rightfully points out in this presentation, The White Left wasn’t rallying around people of color, it was too busy trying to find ways to reinvent itself after their perceived paragon of communism was no more; it sounds just like Code Pink to me (You mean to tell me Medea Benjamin couldn’t decide to stand in solidarity with one organization of oppressed people, but had to go to the Teabaggers…SH**************!).   As the presentation points out about The White Left, and it can be seen today with the accommodations made for Teabaggers, we are just cannon fodder to be used at will to obtain bourgeoisie reform.  The Chairman points out how The White Left inculcates people of color with this ideology of the liquidation of your nationality…i.e. “You aren’t African workers, you aren’t Mexican workers.  You are just workers.”   He thoroughly debunks this nonsense by explaining the difference between Revolutionary Nationalism and Race Nationalism, the latter which was/is demonstrated by Africans who couldn’t, and never will, criticize Obama.

Chairman Omali points out that genocide, as deemed by the world, wasn’t something that happened to Indigenous and African people, because our

being is a “non-being” status (similar to what I pointed out in Business As Usual, No Need To Use The “G” Word:  The Little Known History Of Germany’s Genocidal Second Reich In Africa!).  He goes on to state that it is The White Left, that hopes to avail themselves of this fundamental contradiction by coalescing one nationality, enter “The Worker”.   Only with an “informed practiced, based on science”, the Chairman states, will we as oppressed people gain liberation, and tell who stands in solidarity with us; because a lot of the time Left is Right!
